They offer insights and tips to learn and discover your Ayurvedic Dosha Constitution. It's believed In Hinduism, that each person has a unique constitution, and they generally fall under one of three main dosha types:
Vata (pronounced “vah-tah”), Pitta (pronounced “pih-tah”), Kapha (pronounced “kah-fah”)
However, a person can be a combination of all three doshas or have a certain percentage of each, two of the three could be more dominant than the third. For example, you could be 60% Vata, 30% Pitta and 10% Kapha.
Each type consists of the five elements: (ether, air, fire, water, and earth) that governs the following personal attributes.
-
In Ayurveda, Vata dosha is comprised of the elements of air and ether. Fall and Early Winter are the Vata seasons, characterized by dryness, mobility, lightness, and coolness. If our constitution and/or our lifestyle mirror these qualities, we risk depleting our ojas—our “fluid of life.” But if we introduce the opposing qualities, we can enhance our ojas. Think nourishing, warm, grounding practices.
-
The Pitta Dosha is governed the elements of Fire and Water. Summer is Pitta season and is characterized by The hot, oily, light penetrating qualities of the summer season. It is best practice the opposite of your dosha’s qualities and for Pittas that is more cooling Yoga, Meditations and foods to eat.es here
-
The Kapha dosha is a combination of the elements of earth and water, which rules the springtime. The main qualities of kapha are heavy, slow, dense, dull, soft, oily, and cold. So, it is best to do the opposite of what these qualities are such as, power yoga or heating asanas and breath work like Kapalabhati (Breath of Fire) to fire up the energy.

Reviews
These cards are SOOOO FUN!!!! My Student and I did a mantra and asana based my student’s Vata dosha yesterday and tomorrow we're using the fruit and veggie cards to make snacks."
As an Occupational Therapist and working with older adults, I find a person’s wellness and readiness for therapy makes all the difference in meeting their goals. I started using Kate’s dosha quiz & cards with my OT clients, customizing their therapy plans. We determined their dosha type, imbalances, preferences, needs & incorporated these ideas into our OT sessions.
One patient was working on a meal preparation goal in OT. We used the dosha quiz and picked a delicious array of fruits and veggies to use in our recipes and plans! It was such a fun way to empower her with tools to improve their day-to-day wellbeing!
As a Yoga & Meditation Teacher, It’s uniquely rewarding to work one-on-one with people tailoring a holistic program for someone’s personal goals and needs.
The dosha quiz and cards are so user-friendly & accessible in selecting quick and custom mantras/chants, asanas to highlight for yoga sequencing, and even essential oils for Shavasana massages (everyone’s favorite)!
It’s such a joy to explore these ideas with yogis and integrate conscious choices into our routines. The cards make it doable, approachable, and genuinely fun!
